Antique 9ct lucky bean charm with fine 9ct gold trace chain necklace. This puffed hollow form pendant is kidney bean shaped. This design has long been popular with beans dating from the Victorian era through to modern time. This particular example is dated to the turn of the 20th century. I have polished it to a high shine but not so deep as to disturb the gorgeous patina. Circa 1900, to the rear we can observe the '9ct' purity stamp and the maker's mark 'R&S'.
This lucky bean was converted previously from cufflinks therefore would best suit being worn as a Bracelet charm due to the central bail to the rear, this beans hangs flat on the 9ct Gold chain as photographed.
Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.
The gold is rosey in colour, as Victorian gold typically is.
Measures 1.64cm long x 9.3mm wide and 5mm deep. The 9ct Gold trace chain measures 18" and 1.2mm wide
Bean and chain have a combined weight of 1.37 grams.
